FAQs: SALES
I don’t know what I need to order. Can you help?
Absolutely! Our experienced outside sales staff will be glad to meet with you, discuss specifications & budgets & perform a plan or jobsite takeoff from which a detailed & itemized estimate will be provided.
I hear you talking about a Physical Jobsite Walkthrough Takeoff vs. Plan Takeoff, what is the difference?
A walk through is a verifiable takeoff we perform many times with the customer present to confirm all specifications & details. In many ways this can be the most accurate as it is done after framing & can catch changes that may not be listed on a set of plans. A plan takeoff is done off a set of plans. A jobsite visit is not required. This can be extremely accurate as long as the project is built without changes. This type of takeoff is primarily for estimating purposes only to provide bids up front in the bidding process.
Are your estimates guaranteed?
Yes, we guarantee our estimate pricing for 30 days, however product availability may vary.
Can I return unused interior trim items for credit?
Yes, if it is product that we stock we will issue credit as long as it is returned in the same condition that we sold it in. If product is cut, dirty, crushed, cracked, swollen due to humidity or additional damage we consider the product un-returnable. In some cases, depending on the circumstances, a restocking fee of up to 30% may apply.
I hear you use trim racks. What are they & can I get one? To keep your jobsite organized and protect your millwork, we supply a wooden trim rack system for storing trim materials. Trim racks are provided at no charge on most projects where D&D Mouldings supplies the interior trim and doors. A fully refundable $150 deposit per rack is required and returned once the rack is picked up in good condition. In general, projects under $5,000 or using fewer than 5,000 lineal feet of trim do not require a rack. If you’d like to request one for a smaller job, simply speak with your D&D Mouldings representative to determine availability. Please note: We do not sell trim racks. All racks are retrieved by our team once the interior trim phase of your project is complete.
Can I return a door?
Masonite doors are returnable if they are unused, in original condition. Custom Doors are made to order & are non returnable.
Can I get a sample?
Yes, samples are available for stock interior trim items. In some cases, run to order profiles may be available also.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept most major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, American Express & Discover.
Do you offer credit terms?
Yes, with an approved credit application, we offer credit to established businesses. This process typically takes 2-3 business days. Our terms are typically “Net 10th, EOM”. If you’re interesting in applying, please contact us today! Download our credit application HERE.
Why am I being asked to pay a 50% deposit?
On all special orders items we require a 50% deposit prior to ordering. Also, any customer who does not have an open credit account established will be required to pay a 50% deposit for any order prior to ordering as well as payment must be made in full prior to delivery &/or customer pick up.
